Blaze Grass

From Interesting Times

Blaze Grass is a long, fibrous plant, very similar to Firegrass, but considerably taller, the great plains of the new world are dominated by this plant. Reaching up to four metres in places, it grows in a dense carpet near the edge of large riverbanks, and in areas with very high rainfall.

Spanning a range of hues from straw yellow to orange to a vibrant dark red, the grass consists of a tough flat stalk, and a single long blade with tough fibres running vertically through it. The tip of the blade tends to droop slightly as it increases in length.

This plant is critical to the habitat of the great plains, feeding and supporting the vast herds of animals that make it their home.
