Kavaca
From Interesting Times
Kavaca is a silk like fabric made from thread spun by a rare insect, the Kavapillar, not found outside of a small number of native settlements. The thread is woven together into a light, thin and very strong fabric that takes dye easily, is reasonably water-resistant and has a very smooth and soft texture. It is also somewhat fire-resistant, and notably slash resistant.
The Kavaca spinners are treasured by those who possess them, and they guard them jealously.
